The drill/driver/hammer drill uses a DeWalt built high-torque, high efficiency motor to deliver 500 in-lbs of torque for drilling large diameter holes and driving large screws. The XRP drill is equipped with a patented 3-speed transmission. The 3-speed option allows the drill to be set at the optimum speed range for the application being performed to maximize performance. The DC988 has a max speed of 2000 RPM which is 38% faster than high speed. The unit has a maximum BPM speed of 34000 BPM which allows for high performance drilling in masonry applications.
