While scouting out jobsites, we noticed quite a few smaller sites where construction workers were working. We decided to drive around with just the truck, carry some t-shirts and premiums and see what some of the reactions were. At the first site, we saw two workers sealing a retailer's driveway. We pulled up to them and asked if they would like a free t-shirt. They couldn't believe that we were just driving around handing out free stuff. They were very surprised and mentioned where they bought all of their Carhartt. The next stop was at the corner of Church and 8th Street where ten city workers were cutting a ditch for electrical lines. They were please to pose for a picture and thanked Carhartt up and down for their generosity. Next were two painters on ladders painting the front of a retail building: same reaction. Then, we saw a police officer sitting in his car and decided to pull up right along side of him. We asked what size shirt he wore and his jaw just about dropped. He couldn't believe it. He said he wears Carhartt all the time, but he hadn't tried the t-shirts yet. He said, "Thank you very much" twice. We asked if there was a police station nearby and he pointed us in the direction. Not finding the precinct, we came upon a small firehouse. Not seeing anyone outside, we decided to go in the firehouse. With the lights off it was their "quiet time", but as soon as we mentioned free Carhart, they jumped up like there was a fire. All came out to the truck to receive their premiums and t-shirts and posed for a "thank you" photo.
