January 2006 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, introduced two new product lines, a line of metal cutting reciprocating saw blades (DW4807-DW4821), and a new line bi-metal hole saws (D180009-D180096). DEWALT designed its new metal cutting reciprocating blades with a sharper cutting point that allows users to make faster cuts, increasing productivity on the jobsite. Additionally, the new blades are designed with an aggressive shank angle that maintains the cutting speed as the blade wears, promoting a longer cutting life. The two features allow the user to make more cuts faster. Additionally, the blades are made with Matrix II steel, the highest quality Bi-Metal material available, further increasing blade durability. The new line of DEWALT bi-metal hole saws are designed to provide professional contractors with increased tooth life and increased drilling speed. The new DEWALT hole sawshave an aggressive cutting edge for faster cut rates. A sharper tooth allows users to cut through materials quickly, increasing productivity on the jobsite. A double tooth design allows for increased durability and a wider shoulder adds to the strength of the saw's teeth. For further levels of durability, DEWALT has increased the HSS portion of the Bi-Metal strip to an industry leading 4.3mm.
